Applesauce Applets

2 Tbsp. gelatin
½ cup cold applesauce
¾ cup applesauce
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 ½ cup sugar
1 cup nuts
½ tsp. vanilla

Soak gelatin in ½ cup applesauce for 10 minutes. Combine remaining ¾ cup applesauce, lemon juice and sugar and boil 10 minutes. Add gelatin mixture and boil 15 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Take from heat, add nuts and vanilla and pour into buttered pan. Chill 24 hours. Cut into squares and roll in icing sugar. Let dry before storing.
